It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eleanor Nishimoto Christensen of Lompoc, California, who passed away on June 1, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sadao Nishimoto and Take Ishida Nishimoto; her former husband Allan M. Tashiro; her siblings, Setsuko Tomasu, Yuriko Onaha and Frank; and her son Kenneth T. Tashiro.
She is survived by: her children, Franklin, Allan H. Unexpectedly of Collinsville, IL and Eleanor; her husband Kerry B. Christensen; her children, Frank Tashiro (Shana) of Brigham City, UT, Janice Reese (Chad) of Willard, UT, Helen McCarty (Matthew) of Stockton, UT, Kari-Lynn Middleton (Benjamin) of Saratoga Springs, UT and Kimiko Hammari (Daniel) of Lehi, UT; her siblings, Samuel Nishimoto (Heidi), Winnie (Kim) and Flora; her parents-in-law, Karen Corless (Timothy), Kim Christensen (Wynette), Kay Christensen (Christine), Diane Christensen, Darwin and Doris Booth Christensen; and her brother-in-law Keith Christensen. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Eleanor will live on as an example of Christlike service, unconditional love for all of God's children, and charity for those less fortunate.
