It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alisha Ann Henderson Wade of Long Beach, California, who passed away on September 24, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Henderson and Hazel Henderson; and her son Kip Moore. She is survived by: her husband Roy Wade Sr.; her children, Milyan Moore (Deloris), Ruby Wade-Quarterman, Roy Wade Jr. (Edina), Louis Wade (Natasha), Kamele Brown (Aaron) and Jabin Wade (Rita); and her daughter-in-law Shanette Moore. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family, church family, and the many friends and neighbors.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to youth arts programs, senior care services in Long Beach, or organizations dear to Alisha, including the NCNW and NAACP.
