He was predeceased by: his father Dan Thurston; his grandparents, Dorthy and Calvin Seely; his father-in-law Gerry Sugihara; his uncle Jerry Horgesheimer; and his cousin Jared Horgeisheimer.
He is survived by: his wife Julie Sugihara; his children, Ryan and Grace; his mother Susan Pack; his stepfather Greg Pack; his sister Amy; his brother-in-law Mike; his nieces, Madeline and Violette; his mother-in-law Virginia Sugihara; his stepsister Christina (Rory); his sister Shelley; and his brother-in-law Que Gallegos. He is also survived by numerous other cousins, aunts.
