He is survived by: his children, Bryan Shaffer of Seymour, CT, Donna Ahlberg (Jon) of Iron River, MI, Randall Shaffer of Fort Collins, CO and Scott Shaffer (Jennifer) of Hopkinton, MA; his grandchildren, Abigail, Anders, Gregory, Avery and Zoe; his siblings, Susan Miller of Westport, CT and Russell Shaffer of Essex Center, CT; and his brother-in-law Tom Brooks (Lynn) of Atlanta, GA. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
