He was predeceased by: his former wife Norma Jean Eyerly; his grandchildren, Nichole Francis Baily and Christopher Eyerly; and his wife Viola Eyerly. He is survived by: his daughter Dr. Jacqueline Eyerly of Los Angeles; and his children-in-law, Ronald T. Houle and Dr. Kathrin Meyzis (Eyerly). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Even during his last years when Alzheimer's had ravaged his mind, he had a smile for all the met, even when he could no longer speak or remember people's names, he would smile, touch the hand of the person helping him.
