He is survived by: his children, Kazuo, Roy Ota, Rumiko Ota, Fujie Ohata (Ronald), Emily Okano (Howard) and Linda Ota; his granddaughters, Lauren Ohata-Chang, Jillian Okano and Maria Aguilera; his great grandchild Oliver Chang; and his siblings, Harry Ota, Harumi Sasaki and Natsuye Shimono. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
