He is survived by: his wife Ruth Splansky (Ikenberg); his daughters, Jennifer Juster (Splansky) and Deborah Schlosberg (Splansky); his sons-in-law, Michael Juster and David Schlosberg; and his grandchildren, Max, Annie, Leo and Zoe.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Joel's memory to Jewish Family Services of Los Angeles or The National Kidney Foundation.
