It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melba Bridges (Los Angeles, California), who passed away on February 2, 2026, at the age of 106, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her children, Roslyn and Terlyn; her husband Ernest; her siblings, Dodridge and Irma; her nephew JD; her aunt Maria; her children, Conrad, Erni and Lory; her grandchildren, Charlotte, Calvin Jr., Chris, David, Alyson, Bryan, Earl and Nicole; her great grandchildren, Joshua, Disani, Casey, Kyler, Christopher, Kaitlyn, Kimberly, Kevin, Caleb, Kayley, Carson, Lily, Violet and Liam; and her daughter Terry.
She survived the 1919 pandemic as an infant, lived through the Great Depression—leaving school to help her family—and endured World War II.
