He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Schany and Lorretta Schany (Higgins); his significant other Bettie Marie; his son Monty James Schany; and his grandson Bryce Richard Schany.
He is survived by: his children, Bruce Schany (Sherry), Kelly Schany (Carol), Shawn Schany (Liz) and Tonya Feldhacker (Mark); his grandchildren, Chad, Travis, Lindsay, Kass, Madisen, Ryan, Jake, Will, Katelyn, Ashley, Nate, Nick, Emma and Kady; his great grandchildren, Abrynn, Beau, Blake, Avery, Evan, Bentley, Blair, Ariana and Lennon; and his siblings, Helen, Pauline, Danny, Irene, Bill, Bob, Mickey, Mary, Alice Josephine, Ruth, Tom, Joan and Gene.
