He is survived by: his wife Dr DeNaye Brown; his sisters, Meredith, Beryl (Peter) and Alison (Ira); his sister-in-law Rosie; his nephew Jason (Lori); his grandchildren, Jason, Mya and London; his great grandchildren, Daniel and Demi; his siblings' children, Eve (Jonathan), Nora, Davon (Belinda) and Lowell (Ellie); his great-nephews, Vaughn and Loyal; and his great-niece Rose.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his name to UCSF School of Medicine.
