He was predeceased by: his mother Olga Medina; and his brother Carlos Medina. He is survived by: his husband Greg Medina; his father Artemio Medina; his sister Rocio Aguilar; his brother-in-law Sergio Aguilar; his sibling's children, Sebastian Aguilar (Crystal Aguilar), Julian Aguilar (Emily Aguilar), Luis Aguilar, Emilio Aguilar and Gianna Aguilar; and his great-nephew Leonardo Aguilar.
