“I send my condolences to you at your time of loss. Shirley was one of my favorite people. She and my mother, Lillian, were close friends since they were neighbors in Walnut Creek. We would visit by phone occasionally (I live in Texas) and once my wife and I visited her in Palm Desert. She always had a kind word and seemed rarely to be ‘down’. Mickey was wonderful too.
