He is survived by: his wife Suzanne; his children, Gary Gilbert (Gretchen), Jill Escher (Christopher) and Adam Gilbert (Vanessa); his grandchildren, Jacob Gilbert (Brit), Mark Gilbert (Lauren), Evan Escher, Jonathan Escher, Simon Gilbert, Mimi Gilbert, Sophie Escher and Dan Gilbert-Katz; and his great grandchildren, Maren Gilbert, Ezra Gilbert and Shiloh Gilbert.
