He was predeceased by: his parents, Hayata Sakamoto and Fujiko Sakamoto; and his wife Shigeko Butsuya. He is survived by: his sister Harumi Kinoshita (George); his nieces and nephews, Glen and Kelly; his children, James Sakamoto (Connie) and Lynn Sakamoto (Richard Howell); and his grandchildren, Taylre and Skylre.
