He is survived by: his wife Barbara Biggs-Lester; his parents-in-law, Robert and Dorothy Biggs; his children, Eric Lester, Kelvin Lester, Michael Jackson, Sonya Morris-Hart, Edith Smith, Sandra Holt Muhammad, Gwen Lloyd and Sheena Lester; his nieces and nephews, Portia Barner, Kenya Mims, Kateka Anderson, Zack Barner and Geoffrey Matthews; his siblings-in-law, Gerri Dozier, Lois Anderson, Yolander Biggs, Maricia Moore, Earl Dozier, Master Black Diamond and Christopher Moore; his son-in-law Dana Lloyd; and his friend Lester. He is also survived by cousins, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
