He is survived by: his close friend Juanita Rodriguez; his children, Marisa (Erik Cervantes), Laura (Smiley Ornelas), Leonor Arroyo Villegas, Ruben Jr. (Bonnie Villegas), Quirino (Monica Villegas), Erica (Matt Lind) and Tomas (Clarissa Villegas); and his siblings, Amparo Alvarez, Antonio, Francisco, Artemio, Sergio and Javier Villegas.
