He was predeceased by: his parents, John Leo Hynes and Sarah Theresa Devereaux Hynes; his former spouse Jean E. Williams of New Bethlehem; his wife Mary Brieden; his daughter Elizabeth Ann Hynes; and his siblings, Phyllis Mauger, Joan Coveney, Conni Schultz and Ed Hynes.
He is survived by: his sons, Michael Hynes (Rosalind) of Asheville and Patrick Hynes (Andrea) of Manhattan Beach; and his sister-in-law Judy Williams of New Bethlehem. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Charles Catholic Church (201 Washington St, New Bethlehem, PA 16242). The military honors will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Charles Catholic Cemetery (201 Washington St, New Bethlehem, PA 16242).
