With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gerald W Johannsen of Manteca, California, born in Modesto, California, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 18, 2025 at the age of 80. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Johannsen and Ethel Johannsen; his brother John; his sister-in-law Martha; and his sister Shirley Reynolds.
He is survived by: his wife Dolores; his children, Gerald W. Johannsen Jr. (Tenneill) and Teri Sanders (Killeen); his grandchildren, Gerald III, Kaileah and Jilleen; and his sister Jannette Fross (Monty). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the P. L. Fry & Son Funeral Home (290 N Union Rd, Manteca, CA 95337). A rosary will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Anthony 's Catholic Church (505 E North St, Manteca, CA 95337). A burial will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at the St. John's Catholic Cemetery (17871 Carrolton Rd, Escalon, CA 95320).
