He is survived by : his wife Betsy; his children, Jamie Carson, Denise Eckardt Cruz (Sylvia), Cathryn Parker (Doug), Joseph Eckardt and Sean Carson; and his grandson Eric Parker (Shawnette).
Following his military career, he made significant contributions to the technology industry, working for various companies; Signetics, Philips, and ultimately retiring from NXP after 31 years of dedicated service.
