He was predeceased by: his wife Ellen Elster; his parents, Clara Elster and Wesley Elster; and his brother Wayne Elster. He is survived by: his daughter Elizabeth Porterfield (Kenneth) of Centerville, Texas; his grandson Jacob Lee Porterfield; and his stepgranddaughters, Rachael and Logann.
