She was predeceased by: her parents, Marsell Patterson and Lorene Green; and her siblings, Marsell R. Patterson, Jr., Clifford Patterson and Patsy Collins.

She is survived by: her husband Paul Staas; her children, Tom Staas (Fayra), Melanie Broderick (Tim) and Mandy Luis (David); her grandchildren, Emily Holcomb (Mitch), Ryan Staas (Morgan), Natalie Henderson (Max), Josh Broderick, Sarah Broderick, Garrett McAdams (Heather) and Donovan McAdams; her great grandchildren, Eliza, Kaycee Holcomb, Troy, Lainey, Khloe Staas, Bryson, Weston, Braelyn and Colton McAdams; and her sister Betty Weatherspoon. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
