He was predeceased by: his parents, Laura Wheeler and Leslie Wheeler; his parents-in-law, Cecilia of Galan and Rafael Arturo Galan; his siblings, Gene Ruff, Betty Ruff, Bob Ruff, Pete Ruff and David Ruff; and his brother-in-law Miguel Eduardo Galan.

He is survived by: his wife Gloria Wheeler; his sister Jackie Wheeler; and his siblings-in-law, Janeth Galan, Luz Mary Galan and Rafael Ivan Galan.
