He is survived by: his wife Janet French; his brother Chris; his son Leigh (Jodie); his grandchildren, Nathan (Amy), Hannah (Brandon), Joel, Jack and Evelyn; and his great grandchildren, Colton and Julliette.

Jay and Janet moved to Menifee to be closer to family after his diagnosis of Parkinson's disease.
