She is survived by: her children, Beth Hilt, Marcia Gawecki, Laura Gawecki, Mark Gawecki, Ann Gawecki, John Gawecki and Matthew Gawecki; her grandchildren, Sammy Gawecki, Madeline Gawecki, Ella Gawecki, Peyton Gawecki, Christian Gawecki, Grace Gawecki, Jane Gawecki, Dustin Hilt, Kate-Lynn Comeau and Cody Hilt; and her great grandchildren, Adriana Frevele, Jakob Comeau and Keagan Comeau.

“I will be forever grateful to Peggy for her love, support and care for me and our family. She was a helper to others even at her own expense. Being the mother of 7 children and a nurse kept her busy and happy. She took care of her kids, her patients, the family pets and whoever needed it. During retirement she volunteered at her church taking blood pressures and later helping hospice patients. We will remember her with the happiest of memories and miss her dearly.”
