With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Russell James Gattermeyer of Menifee, California, born in Hamilton, Ohio, who passed away on August 22, 2022 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen and Leonard; his wife Shirley; his son Gary Gattermeyer; his siblings, Evelyn, Florence, Marcella, Robert, Laverne, Janet, Virginia, Shirley and Dick Gattermeyer; and his son-in-law Alfredo Alvarez.

He is survived by: his daughters, Joan Coppenrath, Amy Alvarez and Lori Enfield (Rob); his grandchildren, Jennifer Smith (Matthew), Andrea Moffatt (Tim), Christina, Catherine Coppenrath and Gregory Gattermeyer; his great grandchildren, Annabelle and Ellyse Moffatt; and his brother Gene Gattermeyer.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Hope Hospice Menifee or to your local homeless shelter.
