It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Angela Matsen of Merced, California, born in Needles, California, who passed away on August 2, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Moreno and Angela Muro; her husband Chester Matsen; her daughter Anna Herrera; her granddaughters, Barbara Reane Torres, Katrina Gregory and Michelle Herrera; and her great grandchildren, Kory Madeline Rodriguez and Xavier Herrera.
She is survived by: her children, George Herrera, Sr. (Lupe) of Atwater, Guillermo "Bill" Herrera of Merced, Emilio Rodriguez of Merced and Gloria Matsen (Tim) of Hilmar; and her sister Tomasa Valdez of Minnesota.
