With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bertha Mae Brizendine of Merced, California, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 9, 2025 at the age of 79. She was predeceased by: her husband Harvel Brizendine of Michael's Drive-In; her daughter Rebecka Ellen Brizendine; her parents, John Adams and Ella Adams; and her siblings, Gene W. Adams of Massachusetts, James B. Adams of Merced and Bonnie Roach of Merced.

She is survived by: her children, Norma Chabrouillaud of Visalia, California, Sherry Brizendine of Merced, Lynda Normandeau of San Antonio, Texas and Timothy Brizendine of Merced; her sons-in-law, Ted Chabrouillaud of Visalia and Brad Normandeau of San Antonio, Texas.; her grandchildren, Taylor, Tyler, Kassandra (K. C.), Catherine, Robert, Nicholas and Rebecca; her great grandchildren, Luna and Emilia; and her siblings, Elizabeth Brown of Pennsylvania, Mary Vickery of Stockton, Ella L. Lombard of Merced, Linda Penner of Chico, Gloria Warren of West Virginia and John C. Adams of Washington. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews and in-laws.
