She is survived by: her husband Robert Amussen; her children, Gretchen of Paris, France, Susan of Merced, CA and John (Andréa Bailey); and her grandchildren, Christopher and Sara of Los Angeles, CA..

In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory can be sent to Doctors without Borders, Heifer Project International, or the Friends of the Merced County Public Library.
