She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard Merrill Downes and Polly Whitney; and her sisters, Mary Alice and Nancy. She is survived by: her siblings, Bill and Sue (Mick); her children, Lloyd (Sheila), Susanne, Bill (Paula), Brian and Bob (Michele); her grandchildren, Derek, Miriah (Geoff), Alex, Chase (Kaci), Bailey (Beau), Kelsey (Derek), Alyssa, Matt and Michael; and her great grandchildren, Conrad, Lillian, Sienna, MaKenna and Harrison.
Memorial donations can be made in the memory of Liz McCabe to the United Methodist Church of Merced, Friends of the Merced County Fair, Merced County 4-H at the UC Extension Service, Merced County Historical Society, California Women in Agriculture, and Covenant Care Hospice.
