It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Edward Hinds Jr. (Merced, California), who passed away on November 16, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Lois (Newman) and George Hinds. He is survived by: his wife Nora Hinds; his daughter Cristi; his son-in-law Torrin Johnson; his son David; his daughter-in-law Jeanie Hinds; his granddaughters, McKenzie, Grace Schumacher, Claire and Leah Hinds; and his brother Sam Hinds (Carol).
George continued to give back, serving on his condominiums HOA and officiating local high school basketball games, often donating his earnings to support local youth sports.
