She was predeceased by: her parents, Antone Hoffknecht and Gertrude Hoffknecht; her siblings, Antone, Joseph (Lucille), William (Mary) and Theresa; and her stepchildren, Jay and Donna Freeman.
She is survived by: her husband Rex Freeman; her grandson Sam; her sister Ruth Herdman; her daughters, Margaret Sanchez and Laurie Banks; her son-in-law Jeff; her son Sam Freeman; her grandchildren, Renata Sanchez, Alycia Sanchez, David Sanchez, Rex Freeman, Francesca Freeman and Erin Lopes; and her great grandchildren, Lucas Feri and Dylan Feri.
In lieu of flowers Hilda requested donations be made to the American Heart Association, Catholic Charities, or the Merced Historical Society.
