With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Enoch Bankson of Merced, California, who passed away on September 10, 2021 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Jack" and Mabel Bankson of Pittsburgh; and his brother William Bankson of Pittsburgh, California.. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Bankson of Merced; his children, Matthew Bankson (Elizabeth) of Winston, David Bankson (Dawn) of Merced, Karen Fordice (Doug) of Atwater and Bob Johnson (Karen); his grandchildren, Quinn, Elias Bankson, Tia, Jack Bankson, Neil, Nick Fordice, Dante, Dominic, Dino and Tori Johnson; his great grandchildren, Jeffery John and Margaret Juliette Fordice; and his nephew Bill Bankson (Susan) of North Carolina.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Saint Luke's Anglican Church in Merced or the Merced Rotary Club Foundation, PO Box 751, Merced CA, 95341.
