We are sad to announce that on March 3, 2026, at the age of 92, Norman Edgar James of Merced, California passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Norman may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Norman touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Survaley James and Dora James (Billingsley); his brothers, Karl Kenneth James and Robert Willis James; and his daughter Karen Winter.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Lou James; his daughter Rhonda James (Hugh); and his stepsons, Richard Smith (Debbie) and Robert Smith. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
