He was predeceased by: his former wives, Geraldine Marie Starnes and Margaret Starnes; his wife Betty Lou Starnes; and his daughters, Sharon Fleming and Karen Tweed.
He is survived by: his brother Don Starnes (Dean Starnes); his grandchildren, Kara Jean Halfman, Olin Tweed, Mark Fleming and Jesse Starnes; and his stepdaughters, Julie Acker and Paula Nehrling. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Fraternal Order of Eagles Merced #2194 Scholarship Fund.
