She was predeceased by: her parents, Ollen Acree and Lois Acree; her husband Kenneth Carter; her daughter Joni Carter Hanley; and her granddaughter Ami Lynn Armstrong.

She is survived by: her children, Susan Armstrong (Jim), Greg Carter (Gloria) and Kevin Carter (Margaret); and her brothers, Jerry Acree (Joan) and Eric Acree. She is also survived by five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
