We are sad to announce that on January 9, 2024, at the age of 97, Harriett Birker of Mission Hills, California passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Eldred Collick and Della Collick (Reno); her sister Fedelia Ruger; her children, Charlene Hernandez, Charles, Kenneth, Thomas and William Gates; and her grandsons, Jeremy Gates and Kristopher Carey.

She is survived by : her husband William L. Gates; and her daughters, Bonita Campo (Joseph) of Rosamond, CA, Patricia Hoppe (William) of Valencia, CA and Donna Carey-Hill of Clayton, NC. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
