He is survived by: his daughter Emily Jo Wharry; his sisters, Robin Susanne Shelnut and Andrea Lorene Griffin; his mother Alice May Smith; his stepfather Gary Mac Smith; his niece Sarah Shelnut-Lebel; and his great-nephew Alexander Michael Rossborough.
