It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bill Allen Simms (Modesto, California), born in Glendale, California, who passed away on April 24, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Bill graduated from Modesto High School (1962) and California State University at Stanislaus. He served honorably in the United States Navy aboard the USS Canberra.
Bill was a man of deep faith and a devoted member of Wellspring Anglican Church. He found great joy in reading and studying his Bible and listening to Christian music. His faith was a guiding force throughout his life.
He cherished time spent with family and loved ones. Bill is survived by his son Bob Simms; sister Teri Patton; brother-in-law Ken Kinser (Christine Serrano); nephews Brian Ehrler and James Kinser; nieces, Virginia (Ginger) Ehrler (Dan Sandoval), Laura Kinser, and Rebecca Espinoza.
He was proceeded in death by his beloved wife, Greta Simms; father Allen Simms; mother and stepfather Virginia and Bob Robison; and brother, Chuck Robison.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Community hospice
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Wellspring Anglican Church (1548 Cummins Rd, Modesto CA 95358).
