EDWARD MARVIN MORALES Obituary

Edward Marvin Morales, 61, it's with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edward M. Morales, who departed this life on April 18th, 2025 after a lengthy health battle. The youngest of five boys, Ed was born in Sacramento in 1964, to parents Carlos and Aurea Morales. He graduated
high school in Hollister, Ca. After graduation he went to work for the California Department of Forestry, stationed in Hollister. He began his career
working at the heliport loading fire retardant, eventually earning his certification as a firefighter/paramedic and smoke jumper. In 1989, he met his wife
Deane, becoming the father figure to her
two children Brandi and Christopher. They
would be married in September of 1992,
and go on to expand their family with the birth of Steven and Chelsea. Ed went on to work in the industrial concrete business,
for C.M.Pace Construction and finished
out his career at Tri-Valley Concrete. He was very proud of the jobs he worked on, always quick to point out completed projects on any road trip up and down the valley. He was blessed to work with his brothers, son, and nephews over the years, passing on his craft.
Those who knew and loved Ed, know that he was very family oriented, never met a stranger and was loyal to a fault. He will be remembered for his warm smile, genuine laugh, and his love of the Dallas Cowboys. Always a jokster, he never missed an opportunity to play pranks on his family and friends. Family and friends always knew his home as a place where all were welcome. He quickly became the bonus dad to many of his children's friends. A master of the grill, summer bbqs were a regular occurrence, knowing that guests may have arrived as friends but they departed as family. Thanksgiving became his favorite holiday as it combined all the
elements he loved in life: family, food and football. He will always be remembered as a wonderful person, whose absence has torn a hole in this world. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, friend and coworker. Words alone cannot express the legacy he has left, and loss that is felt by so many.
He was preceded in death by his brother Marvin Morales, mother and father Carlos and Aurea Morales. He is survived by his wife, Deane Morales. His children: Brandi McGuire-Sisco (Darrell), Christopher Gardner, Steven Morales (Julian), Chelsea Morales (Kenneth) and Ian Ross (Lisa). His grandchildren: Zadie and Xavier (Brandi), Kimberly, Elena and Kenneth (Chelsea) and Kortney, Brennen, DeeAnna, Zariana, Garrett, Shyanne, Naomi, Tech, and Ann Marie (Ian). His brothers: Gilbert Morales, Carlos Morales and Richard Morales and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Atwater Memorial Building (1390 Broadway Avenue, Atwater, California 95301).
