It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gale Martha Tornell (Modesto, California), who passed away on February 12, 2024, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Vander Schuur and Martha Postma (Vander Schuur); and her sister Kathy Wilson. She is survived by: her husband Jim Tornell; her children, Sarah Ranck (John), Angelyn Tornell, Susan Galvan (Sam), Demitress Martin, Jessica Hollandsworth and Michael Tornell; and her siblings, Paul Vander Schuur (Gerti), Tom Vander Schuur (Jean), Jon Vander Schuur (Cindy) and Connie Gilliland (Jim).
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations be made to Ripon Interfaith Ministries with whom she served many years.
