It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John V. Mota (Modesto, California), who passed away on May 27, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Maria Noelia Soares Mota; his son Carlos Manuel Mota; his parents, Teotonio Vierra (Mota) and Maria J. Goncalves; and his sister Madalena Medeiros.
He is survived by: his children, John M. Mota of Modesto, Maria J. Radanovich (Thomas) of Groveland and Susan Billon (Chris) of Modesto; his siblings, Teotonio Mota (Fernanda) of Modesto, Maria Ferreira of Angra, Heroísmo and Azores; and his grandchildren, Jillian Radanovich, Melanie Radanovich, Kira Radanovich and Christopher Billon Jr..
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Old St. Stanislaus Catholic Church (709 J St, Modesto, CA 95354). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location.
