Paul Brian Tatum Obituary
Paul Brian Tatum, a man loved by many, passed away on January 17, 2023, at the age of 53. Paul grew up with a sister, mother, step father and a half sister. Paul was treated as a step son, and never had the father figure children need so much in their lives. Paul and his sister were close all their lives. As a child Paul loved bikes and baseball. Paul was the "babe Ruth" of all his little league teams.
Paul worked his first job at 14, delivering newspapers and saving his money for the latest BMX bikes. Paul also sold candy and bought himself the nicest clothes ever, Levi 501 jeans and the denim jackets to match. Unfortunately at age 18, working as a roofer, Paul fell off of a two story house, and shattered his heel. Even being injured, Paul continued to play baseball. He played on many local softball teams. Also teaching all his nephews how to play baseball from the day they were born. Paul has coached many little league teams ever since. The players and their families always loved how Paul coached the children.
A few days after Paul had shattered his heel he took a trip to Mexico to find the girlfriend he loved, who was taken to Mexico to live with her Grandma. Taking a bus to Ensenada, Paul limped his way through every street, knocking at everyone's door until he found her. Sandra and Paul were soon married on March 20, 1995. After their marriage they shared their lives with their new Baby, Selina. Sandra and Selina were Pauls' everything... That has never changed.
Paul has been a hard worker all of his life, settling for a career as a commercial plumber and involved with the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local 442. Although Paul had many struggles he always remained the beautiful person he is. He never wanted to hurt anyone.... Paul loved, above all. And to know him was to love him. He was loved by many people, and has always been an unforgettable kind of person.
Paul is survived by his wife Sandra, his daughter Selina, His mother Rhonda and his sister Tammi, Sister in Laws, Sonia and Melissa, His Nephews, Nick, Rian, Dustin, Pedro, Joshua, Ruben, Cameron and Chris, and his nieces Courtney, Tiana Valerie, Ellie, and many more nieces He is proceeded in death by his biological father in 2021 who he never knew, His step father, whom Paul valiantly showed mercy upon in 2021, his beloved Great Grandma, Leona Reynolds, in 2006, His beloved Auntie, Alice Cole in 2004, His grandfather William Renfrow, in 2001 and His Beloved Grandmother, Mary Renfrow, who he loved above all, who passed in 1999.
Paul is missed by everyone who knew him.
