He was predeceased by: his fathers, Leo Ehrler (Ida Sciarini) and Edward Sciarini; his son Martin Ehrler; and his brothers, Edward Sciarini and Lee Ehrler.
He is survived by: his wife Vickie Ehrler; his daughters, Christine Hutcheson (Kevin Hutcheson) and Kristen Ramirez; his grandchildren, Brianna Ehrler-Huff (Breanna Huff), James Gianola (Brittany Gianola), Zackary Sales (Alyssa Sales) and Braden Markowitz; and his siblings, Michael Sciarini and Barbara Beare. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 2nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (1813 Oakdale Rd, Modesto, CA 95355).
In lieu of flowers, for those who wish to honor Richard's memory, the family requests any memorial contributions be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
