He was predeceased by: his parents, John Patterson and Nellie Elizabeth Patterson; and his brother Joseph Calvin Patterson (Patricia). He is survived by: his wife Patricia Patterson of Monte Sereno, CA; his daughter Dr. Anna Patterson (Tom Costello) of Saratoga, CA; his grandchildren, Sean, Caia, Avania, Ilaria Costello, John, Jr. and Elizabeth Champine (Cooper Champine); and his niece JoAnna. He is also survived by her children and other nieces and nephews.
