With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Don Knauf of Monterey, California, who passed away on March 28, 2024 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Don Knauf to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Andrew Knauf and Ruth Knauf; and his former life partner Charmaine Gunderson. He is survived by : his wife Kathryn Knauf; his children, Andrea Cardon (David), Heidi Finan (Chris), Sara Briley (Aaron), Daniel Chacon (Amparo) and Kristin Deas (Geoff); and his grandchildren, Jennifer, Michelle, Phillip, Alan, Nick, Dylan, Donovan and Devin. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Sierra Club or National Resources Defense Council.
