He was predeceased by: his parents, Trinidad Andrade and Dora Andrade; and his sister Rosanna Esquivel. He is survived by: his children, Melanie Nava (Jack), Brittany Rios (Guillermo), Christian Esquivel (Janua) and Matthew Cardero; his grandchildren, Harper, Luca Nava, Benjamin Esquivel and Scarlett Salazar; and his siblings, Alma Garza (late Oliver), Nora Kindred (Nate), Adam Andrade (Connie), Corina Andrade and Marcy Krasiewski (Brian).

A memorial service was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Miller-Jones Mortuary and Crematory (23618 Sunnymead Boulevard, Moreno Valley, CA 92553). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 from 2:15 PM to 2:45 PM at the Riverside National Cemetery (22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside, CA 92518). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Esquivel Residence (26063 Bercaw Ct, Moreno Valley, CA 92555).
