He was predeceased by: his parents, Emma Lee and Olaf Lee; and his brothers, Lloyd, Robert (Bob) and Greg (Gregg Palmer).

He is survived by: his brother Melvin Lee (Donna); his children, Gilbert O. Lee, Jr. (Michelle) and Kimberly Rodriguez (Phil); his grandchildren, Steven Rodriguez (Jenny), Valerie Lanthier (Adam) and Justin Lee (Maddie); and his great grandchildren, Emily, Gracie, Hannah, Hunter and Jimmy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
