She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Chester Herrod and Marcella "Ski" Herrod; and her sister Kate Anne Herrod. She is survived by: her husband Glenn Emig; her children, Gabrielle Murphy (Brian) of San Diego and Gavin Emig (Catie) of Tinley Park, IL; and her grandchildren, Logan Murphy, Griffin and Hailie Emig.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Kim's name may be made to Caring Connection which emphasizes serving families facing issues of abuse and neglect and senior citizens.
