He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl W. Sampson and Edna Mae Sampson (Hayes); his daughter Michelle; his brother-in-law Joe; and his nephew Richard.
He is survived by: his wife Lynn; his siblings, Marilyn and Gary (Vicki); his grandchildren, Emilee (Brandon) and Connor (Erin); his niece Heather (Bryan); and his friends, Anita and Denise. He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
