He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Nelson and Evaland Nelson; his former wife Geneanne; his siblings, Marvin and Eleanor; and his stepson Tommy Lipsey.
He is survived by: his wife Coleen; his children, Ron Nelson (Sherri) of Thousand Palms, CA, Steve Nelson (Samantha) of La Plata, NM, Cindy Harris (Mike) of Yuma, AZ and Kristine Torres (Fidel) of Klamath Falls, OR; his stepdaughter Wendy Valle (J. C.) of Santa Rosa, CA; and his stepdaughter-in-law Shawna Lipsey of Napa, CA. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Tulocay Cemetery (411 Coombsville Rd, Napa, CA 94558).
